Crestvale Group LLC operates this website and The Crestvale Brief. This policy covers information collected through this website and newsletter signup. It does not cover websites or social platforms you choose to visit through our links.
Information we use
Newsletter signup sends your email address to Mailchimp. You choose whether to receive updates and must confirm your email before joining The Crestvale Brief.
- Newsletter signup: your email address, the signup page, the confirmation and subscription or delivery-provider status. We use these to manage The Brief and keep a record of your choices.
- Unsubscribe requests: your email address and opt-out record. We use these to stop future newsletter mail and prevent an accidental re-import.
- Messages you send us: your address and the information you choose to include in an email, for example a partnership inquiry, accessibility issue, or privacy request. Please avoid sending passwords or sensitive personal information.
- Cookie and display choices: your acceptance or rejection of optional preference cookies, the notice version, and choice and expiry times. If you accept, we also save your paused-animation and larger-reading-text settings. These first-party cookies are stored in your browser and sent to this website with requests. They are used to remember your choices, not to identify you or track your behavior.
- Technical information: your IP address and request information are processed to deliver the website and prevent abusive requests. Hosting infrastructure and form providers may also produce security and access logs.
The online inquiry form sends your first name, email and message to HubSpot to create or update a contact and help us respond. It does not subscribe you to marketing. If the provider form cannot load, the fallback preview does not send or store an inquiry.
Purpose and choice
Joining The Brief is optional. We use your consent to send occasional updates about new videos, courses, products and other Crestvale work. A checkbox is never selected for you. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Saving display preferences is optional and separate from joining the newsletter. You can use the accessibility controls without accepting optional cookies. Use Cookie settings in the footer to change your decision or withdraw permission to remember those settings.
We also process information to respond to requests, operate and protect the website, meet applicable obligations, and maintain necessary records. Where data protection law requires a legal basis, newsletter marketing relies on consent; responding to inquiries and operating a secure service rely on legitimate interests or steps you request before an agreement, as applicable.
Providers and sharing
This static website does not store newsletter signups or opt-outs in a local database. Mailchimp processes email addresses, confirmation records and subscription status to manage the mailing list, confirmations, unsubscribes and newsletters. Mailchimp may process information in countries other than yours. Its handling of information is described in Intuit’s privacy statement.
Hosting and email providers process information needed to provide their services. We may disclose necessary information to comply with applicable law, protect rights or security, or in a business transfer subject to appropriate protections.
We do not sell personal information collected through this website, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use it for targeted advertising. Crestvale does not install advertising pixels or behavioral analytics of our own on this website. Opening a video loads Instagram’s embedded player. The HubSpot enquiry form also loads provider telemetry and reCAPTCHA, as described below.
Instagram players load only when you choose to open a video. This sends requests to Instagram, which receives technical information such as your IP address and browser details and may use cookies or account information under its own practices. Display-preference cookie acceptance does not control these players: opening a video initiates the connection even if you rejected preference cookies. HubSpot enquiry form
The online enquiry form is provided by HubSpot. Loading it connects your browser to HubSpot and its service providers, including Google reCAPTCHA for abuse prevention. These services receive technical information such as your IP address, browser details and page requests, and may use cookies or account information. HubSpot also loads its own telemetry and free-form branding resources. This happens independently of your display-preference cookie choice.
If you submit the online form, your first name, email and message are sent to HubSpot to manage and respond to your enquiry. This does not sign you up for The Crestvale Brief. If the online form cannot load, the fallback preview does not send or save information; you can use the direct email link.

Retention and protection
We retain signup information while maintaining your subscription or early-list request. We keep only the information needed to operate the list, document consent, meet applicable obligations, and honor opt-outs. The email provider maintains subscription and suppression information. Use the unsubscribe link in a newsletter, or contact Crestvale for help. The current unsubscribe page provides instructions and an email link; it does not itself save or confirm an opt-out.
The cookie recording your decision expires 180 days after your explicit choice. Optional display settings expire no later than that choice and are deleted when you reject optional cookies. Ordinary page visits do not extend the consent period. See Cookies & choicesfor the cookie inventory and controls.
We handle deletion and suppression requests through the email provider and relevant business records. Provider copies, private exports and backups require separate handling. Some records may need to be retained for legal or security reasons, and protected backup copies may remain until they expire. Access to the email-provider accounts and enquiry records is restricted. No storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.
Your privacy choices
Contact us to request access, correction, a copy, or deletion of personal information, or to object to or restrict a use of it. Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have additional rights, including portability, appeal, and the right to complain to a data protection authority. We may need to verify a request before disclosing or deleting information. We do not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
Our website does not use sale or targeted-advertising technologies, including when a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal is present. See Cookies & choices for current browser-storage practices.
The website is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it as appropriate.

Use the subject “Privacy request” and describe what you need. We will update this policy when our practices change and revise the date above. Where required, we will provide additional notice or seek fresh consent.
